Gift Baskets and Christmas

September 2nd, 2010

This time of year is extremely busy for us getting ready for Christmas and meeting our year round client requirements.  The day to day business doesn’t stop and we have the enormous task of product development, photography and catalogue preparation for our new range.  The photo’s below show our team busy within gift preparation and the office space we use to photograph our range.

Christmas starts early for us, we begin compiling our product range in May each year and finalise it by the end of August (when our range is presented on our website).

Many of our clients call us to discuss their requirements, both large and small.  When working with our clients we suggest they start with the following;

  1. What is the reason for giving a gift?
  2. Who is the gift for?
  3. What is the desired price/budget for the gift?
  4. What does the recipient like/dislike? Or do you have a preferred style?
  5. Should the gift include alcohol? For instance we do many non alcoholic gifts.
  6. Is the gift for one person or a group of people?
  7. Do you wish to include a keepsake item in the gift?
  8. Where does the gift need to be sent? This can dictate packaging/presentation and style.
  9. Do you have a message for the gift?

If you have any other suggestions on things you consider as part of choosing a gift please post a comment below, we’d love to hear from you.

Christmas Almost Over

December 21st, 2009

Christmas is almost over for us and it has been extremely busy.  From the gifts we have sent to Europe, Asia and the US, through to those have literally gone to the suburb next door it’s been a true test of how well our team can work together.

As with each Christmas we have learn’t some things along the way that help us to plan for next year, we’ve also found a renewed interest from our clients in giving something other than your “average” gift.   Our clients this year seemed to appreciate the specialist service we provide, our high attention to detail and quality control,  and it is interesting to see the major department stores discounting Hampers by up to 50% to clear out stock - most of their products are made to a cheap price point and the items included can generally be found in the supermarket.

Hampering Around wishes all it’s client, both past and new, all the best for the Festive Season and the coming year ahead.

Christmas Cheer still going

December 12th, 2009

We are still finding demand is strong for our Christmas gifts.  Whilst a number of our competitors have ceased taking orders, our range of stock is still good - with almost all of our gifts still be available - see Hampering Around for our range.  The week commencing 14th December will see us review our range and based what we are getting low on we will update our website accordingly.

Christmas gifts with good Karma

December 5th, 2009

We recently partnered with Karma Currency to introduce a range of charitable gifts. We have added the $5 and $10 vouchers to our gifts as a result of recent feedback from our clients.  The purpose of these gifts is to provide our customers with the opportunity to give something that will be enjoyed as well as enabling the receiver to give themselves.

Please take the time to have a look at our  Karma Range and whether you want to give $5, $10 or more we can help.
