As part of our continual market research we recently saw an article on Celebrity Gifts that reinforced to us the variety of items that can be included in a gift. We receive client requests for gifts from $20 to $2000 each and each one poses it own challenge to provide something that is unique and meets the clients requirements.

Often we find the biggest challenge in our business is explaining to the client what we can do is really only limited by their ability to articulate what they are looking for.  Based on the range of suppliers and partners we have, we can do almost anything.  Often it is easier to start by discussing what we don’t do.  The gifts mentioned in the article above are a great example of a more upmarket and expensive gift.

We are finding that several of our clients are thinking more long term and taking advantage of the supplier discounts we can source on large quantities.  We have clients who are interested in quantities from 100 to over 1000 of an item and are gaining substantially reduced prices with this buying power.

As with any gift purchase it is important to have decided your requirements, however once these are known, volume discounts can prove very attractive.

We are often asked by our clients for assistance with choosing a gift.  There are the obvious considerations such as price/budget and occasions.  Once our clients outlines these two requirements we usually discuss;

1. Sweet   or Savoury focus - what does the person like?
2. Where is it going to? what style of gift will travel best and arrive in the best possible condition to the receiver?
3. What message or emotion is the giver trying to convey and how do they want the receiver to think/feel upon receiving the gift.
4. What message would they like on the gift card.

These discussions are had by us with people from all over the world in particular Expatriate Australians in Asia, the USA or Europe who want to send a meaningful gift to someone with ease.
