Unusual Christmas Requests

November 18th, 2009

Christmas so far has been very interesting for us at Hampering Around, we have had a number of unusual requests that are outside our norm, they include;

  1. Contract packing requests where everything is supplied by the client, we simply prepare it.
  2. Inclusion of client supplied products into our gifts.
  3. Some very interesting and different branding requests (both for corporate gifts and private individual requirements).
  4. Various overseas destination requirements.  We are use to shipping gifts to the UK, US and dominant European capitals, this year the spread of destinations has been much more broad.
  5. This year we are also finding that quality of gift is a major consideration, people know they can buy Hampers at discounted prices in retail stores, however when the gift is important they really want to deal with a specialist provider such as Hampering Around.
  6. We even have clients talking to us about Easter requirements already!

We try to accomodate all these requests and provide the same consistent high level of service we pride ourselves on.  Sometimes this can be a challenge behind the scenes, however we simply want the client to have an “easy and hassle free” experience in dealing with us.

We are currently in the middle of receiving stock for Christmas. As you’d expect the range of products and quantities we carry are huge. These photo’s show our warehouse starting to fill as we ramp up to meet our clients demand.

As with all our gifts,

  1. We only use premium gourmet food items, not supermarket products.
  2. We use the highest quality packaging and keepsake items

Navigating the Christmas Sales

November 6th, 2009

There has been a lot in the media of late about the search by consumers for the right Christmas gift(s). Articles such as these are confirming peoples decision to search and research on line and move to sourcing items from both traditional stores and on-line businesses. At Hampering Around we are seeing a lot of activity already in the lead up to Christmas, with those who plan early already placing orders. The current debate in organisations seems to be whether to have a staff party of give staff a gift. From our perspective we see the considerations as follows;
1. What is the objective of giving a gift or having a party.
2. A party is an event compared to a gift that gives individuals something to keep.
3. Cost is usually a significant factor.

Either way, we are helping many of our clients in their quest to make the right decision for Christmas.
